The joy of returning home to a warm hug never quite leaves the mind. A muscle memory type recollection, that unconditional love felt between individuals at that moment holds the possibility to shape all relationships. Those relationships do not depend on a beginning but more on the continuous support exchanged for years past and to come, no matter the individuals involved. Unfortunately, some never experience emotion so impactful and therefore have no sense of being loved, a sense craved by all. Imagine a world in which all people had the opportunity to create relationships built on support, respect, in addition to compassion. When becoming a parent, most people strive to provide the absolute best upbringing while others posses no intention of raising a child. Whatever the choice may be, the sexuality of the parents has no significance. The unreasonable idea that a heterosexual couple contributes more positive outcomes for a child than a homosexual couple simply must not remain a belief much longer. Sadly, many believe a gay couple lives in an unstable relationship. Marriage between a man and a woman guarantees no success or stability. Love chooses a soul, not a gender. The union of two people depends on love, trust, and honesty. Consider that when defining love as no universal love exists in society. However, if facts are needed to prove stability, same sex couples have just a 1.1 percent divorce rate while heterosexuals hold a rate of 2 percent. (Brydum) Although quite small, this statistic disproves the argument that gay couples will harm a child with a fragile marriage.The fact that a divorce rate must be brought out to validate a marriage should disgust society. The union of two people, whether homosexual or heterosexual, establishes the hope of continuing life with great success, including marriage, health, and of course finances. Throughout the past few years, the world has welcomed the LGBTQ community with more grace than ever seen before. However, sexuality still separates societies despite human knowledge that no two people are exactly alike. Every human being displays a unique personality, with sexuality as a component. Society typically accepts differences between individuals except when discussing sexuality. This ridiculous actuality confines the earth to the unfortunate loss of wonderful parents and human beings. The world needs to realize differences between people cannot sectionalize society. With this in mind, people, especially of younger generations, withstand the judgement of opposing minds in defence of minorities. In fact, from 1996 to 2013, a 24 percent increase in support of same sex marriage was seen. (Niedwiecki) A voice for the people was heard and brave members of this country took the opportunity to campaign for equal rights. With the support of gay marriage on the rise, gay parenting influences the world more and more. Hopefully, humanity will exuberate the intrepidity to encourage the gay community and therefore, more stable homes for children. Nevertheless, almost half of Americans disapproved the legalization of same sex marriage in 2011. To defeat that stance, 53 percent of Americans favored the legalization of liberty.
