What would you do if you were madly in love with a person and you wanted to spend the rest of your life with them, settle down get married. But what if everything you wanted could never happen. Because your not aloud too. Someone else has the right to tell you that you cant get married to your partner that you cant walk down the isle celebrate your day with family and friends.
What would you do if your partner got sick and then you weren't aloud to go and visit them even worse what happens if they passed where would their belongings go? What happens to your loved one in their time of need? You cant help because by law you are not their spouse. Living like this is something that lesbian and gay couples face every single day. A heterosexual woman or man can get married 3 or 4 times but a gay couple cant even do it once, how is that aloud to happen. Just because a woman marries a man can she do it over and over. Divorce is allowed, living in a defector relationship is allowed in some religions but same sex marriage is not.
Religion argues that marriage is between a woman and a man and it is so that they can bare children and raise them. Christians believe that marriage is a gift from god a sacred institution. In the bible it states that gay marriage is a sin.

So if it is a sin to love another person of the same sex why was it okay to sell your own children into slavery. Why are priest molesting children and the church covering it up. Why was it okay to kill people in the name of god - Joan of ark for being a witch, Christian terrorism fighting in the name of god, holy war in 1095. Inquisition where 3000 people died.
