It’s actually pretty simple, if somebody doesn’t agree with gay people and them getting married, then they don’t have to involve themselves with anyone who’s gay. But, some people just don’t seem to want to leave people alone and since they think it is morally wrong, they will try to keep it banned. According to Matt Slick at CARM, “Murder is morally wrong, and when any moral law is broken we are all ultimately affected and we know that if such actions were to increase, society would be affected...no matter where you are. Am I comparing homosexual marriage to murder and saying they are related or somehow equal? Not at all. I 'm momentarily shifting the focus to something that we all agree is morally wrong in order to demonstrate that even…

Nobody would appriciate being told they couldnt get married, no matter sexual preference. “Indeed, in the words of Martin Luther King Jr., “When any society says that I cannot marry a certain person, that society has cut off a segment of my freedom.”” (Listed). It is just rotten to strip somebody of their natural rights. It is also discrimination!…

First off same-sex marriage doesn 't mean equal rights. In lots of areas LGBT (lesbian gay bisexual transgender) members in several states deny housing based on orientation and some basic medical services are denied to transgendered people. On top of this, these religious freedom laws in several states threaten what little progress right movement groups made. Gay , lesbian and bisexual women and men are also more likely to be discriminated against and become the victims of hate crime , even in the workforce where federal law has made it illegal to discriminate based on sexual orientation studies and surveys have shown that eighteen percent of employers would fire someone who was not heterosexual and an additional thirty percent would refuse…

Some have made the statement that marriage is just for man and women but for same sex as well. Same-sex marriage shatters the foundation of marriage and Gods purpose for creating marriage. The Bible tells us that this type of marriage or relationship is an abomination ( Leviticus 18:22). Another objection one might use is those who fall out of love should be able to get a divorce if they are unhappy with it. This objection is truly a false representation of a marriage to begin with.…

Gay Marriage Talking about being gay has always been a sensitive topic for people, but recently on June 26, 2015, gay marriage was legalized in all fifty states in the United States and with that has caused ups and downs when it comes to society still having issues with acceptance. With that said, now all people are allowed to marry whomever they please without judgement, but that still does not stop people from sanctioning the people that are a part of the LGBTQ population. Gay couples have been denied their constitutional right to marry since 1970 when two men applied for a marriage license, which was declined (“Gay Marriage Timeline”). RELIGION BELIEFS Society desires to use religion as leverage in the argument of gay marriage by referring the context in the Bible to make justice as to why gay marriage should be illegal.…

There are many disputes over wither gay and lesbian couples should have the right to get married. The individuals that are pro-gay marriage say that people should be in love with whomever they want, but anti-gay marriage people argue that it is agents what the Bible says. They use the freedom of religion as their excuse to bash on gay marriage. Another reason people might hate on gay marriage is that they could not have any children and in their mind, marriage is for producing offspring, which could be argued agents; same sex couples can get married and do not want any children, or they cannot have children and senior citizen couples cannot have children…

On May 21, 2012, the NAACP (National Association for the Advancement of Colored People), named same-sex marriage as "one of the key civil rights struggles of our time.” Gay marriage has been proven to be a civil right. It’s been a struggle for those that support it and those who are against it but, there is a solution to this situation and that solution is allowing same sex couples to get married. People of the same sex should be able to get married all around the U.S. because it is a civil right, it brings in a greater financial gain for the federal, state, and local government, and embraces liberty and equality for all.…

Gay marriage is not something that I necessarily support but I am not totally against it. I don’t care if you want to marry someone of the same sex, but do not kiss or do other things in front of me. There are people who are against it and there are people who are totally for it. Everyone has their opinions about things and I do not judge anyone for their opinions. Many people may not agree with what others have to say, but you have to realize that everyone has their own opinion.…

But, on the other hand, telling a couple they can’t marry because of it, and making it illegal for gays to marry, is striping homosexuals of their natural rights. We as the United States can’t be known as the country who treats everyone equal, because we don’t. Especially against homosexual males and females. To sum it all up, denying them their natural rights is wrong, and society shouldn’t be dictating who can marry who. They will marry whoever they want, it’s not hurting anyone in particular, so why is it illegal?…

According to Jeffrey M. Jones, 81% of people with no religious affiliation support same-sex marriage, and only 48% of Catholics are supportive of same-sex marriages. The very first amendment of the United States Bill of Rights states that each individual has religious freedom, and anyone who lacks it shall be protected. Claiming that homosexuals should not be allowed to have a legal marriage because it may offend people who’s religion goes against it is unconstitutional. The immorality of states making laws against same-sex marriages simply because some religions consider it to be a sin is astounding. All religions have different beliefs.…

In the article entitled “Re-thinking Civil Unions and Same-Sex Marriage”, Sadler states, “Opponents of same-sex marriage, whether or not they support civil unions, are similarly anxious to protect the special status of marriage, which they believe requires preserving its exclusively heterosexual form.” (Sadler 578). Marriage to opponents is a man with a woman not a man with another man or vice versa. They feel as if they keep holding on to their traditional values or religious beliefs they are doing the right thing by keeping marriage a sacred bond only shared between the opposite sex. In reality all that they are doing is keeping others from loving one another and it shouldn’t be that way love is love.…
