Gay Marriage Is Wrong

The Bible continues fulfilling itself today and Gods message is clear for all who dare to read and accept it. Many times, people do not want to accept the message in order to truly follow Christ. If you are a Christian who is in pursuit of living a Godly life, you are often studying the Bible, pursuing its standards and making disciples. When this is done, there will be people to label you (often) as being judgmental, unloving, hard and the list goes on. Christians do have a job of spreading compassion, but it should be done with the purpose of saving others. We are told in the Bible that “My brothers and sisters, if one of you should wander from the truth and someone should bring that person back, remember this: Whoever turns a sinner from the error of their way will save them from death and cover over a multitude of sins” (James 5:19-20, NIV). Thereby having the responsibility to show love by sharing what thus says the Lord. This sharing should be done in love, privately and with the intent on restoring the person. …show more content…
Therefore, accepting gay marriages is wrong because according to the Bible, it is wrong to have same sex partners participating in an act that is meant to be between one woman and one man. Participating in sexually immoral acts (e.g., adultery, prostitution, men having sex with men, women having sex with women, adultery) is committing “…sins against your own body” (1 Corinthians 6:12-20, NIV). According to Bennett (2003), 4 percent of the American population are homosexuals (p. 105). The push to have homosexual marriages “recognized” by society and therefore be “legal” is a man-made law—but not Gods
