Even though gay marriage is legal throughout the entire country, it does not change the fact that discrimination in the LGBTQ community still happens everyday. People who discriminate against those in LGBTQ community should have harsher punishments put against them. To some people this may sound insane, that in 2016 gay people are still be looked down upon, but today I am here to show you some major examples of what goes on everyday right here in our country. Denial of service, suicide rates skyrocketing, and a little background of how this all came about. Catholics believe gay people should not be allowed to marry since marriage is strictly to procreation of life. But, if that 's the case, then what about the people who can 't have kids? Then should they not be able to get married either? That is basically what they are saying, since you can 't procreate and you can 't have kids then you should not be able to get married. Another main reason religious people believe gays should not have the same rights is because God says marriage is for a man and a woman, but God made gay people, so you are basically saying what God created is not correct. Your work talents have nothing to do with the job you are trying to get. No one should be denied a job for something like that, you should only get denied a job if you are a criminal or can not perform the duties. There have also been some allegations that gay teens are being expelled from christian schools, which is so wrong. No one should have to loose their education due to who they love. This research paper is just some examples of the discrimination in the LGBTQ community, but I hope there will be change soon.
