This image is significant in contrast to the controversy surrounding it because some LGBT individuals’ rights are seen as unconstitutional in the US and the people themselves are seen as though they are abnormalities in society. The significance of the kiss is as if to say, “Too bad Haters, I’m going to do what I want.” to the protestors. However, kiss is more than just that; it is an expression of passion and love for a significant other when all odds are against them.
