Ever since gay marriage has come about, gay adoption has been an issue. One reason it benefits kids who grow up with same sex parents is that they learn to overcome personal obstacles more efficiently. This goes to prove that kids are raised with more respect and manners towards others. Since their parents would know more about what it’s like to be different, the children would feel more open to be who they want to be and express who they are (“Lgbt Adoption”). This benefits the child because it teaches them to be more open and the kind of person they really want to be rather than being afraid. If a child is having difficulties in their life, the parents will most likely be more understanding especially after what they've been through (Elvins). Kids with same-sex parents do just as well as kids from heterosexual parents in school. There are no major differences found in a child of same- sex couples and heterosexual couples when being successful in life (“American Adoption Agency”). This goes to show, that no matter what household the children grow up in, they are found to have the same success rate.
