For example, volcanic eruption causes mass destruction, but also fertilizes soil with minerals for agricultural used in the long term. Genocide causes innocent people died, but that massacre brought people together nation widely and discussed measurement to prevent that from happening again. God is omniscient and omnipotent. He could foresee and know the cost and the effect of the evil. Coping with the evil could equip us and strengthened our capability to face different crises. The two-year-old child’s parents allow the painful stabbing as a protective measure to the future potential harm.
I think that God and evil need to be coexistent. There cannot be good without bad. Just like light and darkness need coexist for us to perceive either one of them. The darkness is a source of light, vice versa. The evil provide a chance for us to be good. We could perform moral characters by responding accordingly to the evil.
