In the Science fiction film Gattaca, Vincent is a child who was given birth naturally and is known as a "God-child". Who is Anton? Anton is the second son who is Vincent 's brother and is a genetically modified person. He is Well-developed genetic medicine combines the best of eggs and sperm. Why did Vincent ' parents genetically engineer their second son? What 's wrong with Vincent? As soon as Vincent was born, he was diagnosed abnormalities with several chances of diseases and short life span. His father was not pleased by this results. So the second child they decided to used the genetic engineering.

What elements exist now to guarantee this future outcome. Should we change what we 're doing now to avoid the future portrayed in the film? There is great possibility that this future in Gattaca may come in being. In the society right now, numerous types of discrimination such as the racial discrimination already exist. And people are increasingly rely on the technology and desires to perfection. As a matter of fact, a portion of people has already started to use machines and technology to improve themselves. In no time, the the society will start suing technology to meliorate human before they are even born through improving genes just like what we see in Gattaca. The person with 'imperfect ' gene might never be able to succeed through hard work and can only be arranged at a junior position. What if a family doesn 't have enough funds to use the genetically engineering, then the children they produce will have rather inferior abilities and conditions . Similar to modern society, the children who are born with a golden key to money, status, better quality of life, and more chances towards excellent education. Unfortunately, we cannot change the fact that technology keeps evolving and avoid its spectacular functions in the future. However, people can definitely change the society by not accepting candidates and arranging position according to a person ' s background and status or getting access to a university by relationship with high officials. Moreover, despising others on account of their humble occupation or low incomes and discrimination towards people born with disabilities also needed to be altered for the better so that the society can have an minimum of inequality and discrimination. If changes are able to start from this generation, then maybe someday in the future, the discrimination among society will eventually fade
