Gathering information that is relevant for your chosen Research Project is very important as it is what will guide you throughout the project. Due to this, I need to make sure that I am using research methods that will be able to provide me with the most useful and important information.
Interviewing: There are several aspects of an interview that make it a good choice for my RP. They are the following
- I am able to ask how people overcome problems that I am facing
- I am able to see how different people will handle the idea of procedural generation
However, there are a few limitations that I need to keep in mind when I do an interview.

To make sure that I am able to use the knowledge gathered, I will have the interviewee sign a piece of paper saying allowing me to use their information. Then when I use the material, I will reference their name, as well as the date of the interview. One of the issues with using an interview in my Research Project is that I have never conducted a proper interview before. Therefore, before I conduct this interview, I need to familiarize myself with how an interview works, I need to acquire interviewing skills. Another issue with conducting an interview is that I need to make sure I follow proper ethical procedures. What this means is that before we start the interview I have to make sure that other person knows that are not required to answer any questions they do not feel like answering and they are not required to stay for the length of the interview if they do not feel like …show more content…
What this means is that I am able to look through the code that these projects have, and tease out how they have handled different problems. Not only this, I am able to look through a large sum of articles that explain the theory behind how the generation needs to work. The final reason that this research method is good for my Research Project, is that if I get stuck, there will be large amounts of online forums that I can go to and ask questions.
While there are some good aspects of online research there are also a few cons.
- Large amounts of time needed to trawl through the 100s of useless articles and forum posts.
- Consideration of ethics
- Proper
