Thank you for your reply! You are absolutely right; delivery people basically get a set allowance for gas. If for any reason gas increases the compensation should match the increase. But for most companies they do not compensate enough and therefore drivers end up spending more money out of their pocket. I do not blame you for leaving. What type of job did you have delivering? I realize that pizza companies charge $1.00 for delivery to consumers. In reality, that does not cover much at all for gas. But if the pizza companies increase the delivery charge then their business will suffer. Basically, it is a no win situation.
