Any mother that had a small child beside her both went to the gas chamber. If a child was not or did not look 16 went to the gas chamber. If you were sick, you went to the gas chamber. If, you're very old you went to the gas chamber! At times, a young pregnant woman would come through and the sorter would tell her now you're just fat, so she would not go the gas chamber.
When it came time for the prisoners to get some shut-eye they slept in a place called a barrack which was basically like a place to sleep. The barracks were made to sleep at 100 but instead there were 600 prisoners. From them being so many people they had to share a cot with a very thin blanket. The prisoners had to take showers one time a day. The prisoners chores were to clean the bathroom, but they were not very clean. There were not many showers, maybe 3 to 4 is what most camps has in one barrack. So if there are 600 people in a barrack and showers most didn't get a shower. At the same time, some showers were the gas chamber instead of gases they would put water in there so many people in some camps got a shower but others not so much. So if, you got a shower often you were lucky. It was said that the soap the prisoners washed up with was made from the people who died in the gas chambers.
