Gary Bradshaw's Essay

The historical actions and invention by the Wright brothers will forever change the way humans travel across water. The Problem-solving strategies invention of a contraption that was heavier than air but could fly was very intriguing to Gary Bradshaw. Bradshaw’s main focus question was “how the Wright brothers solved the problem of creating a heavier-than-air flying machine when so many others have failed”(Bernstein 2014). The reason this certain question held his focus was the shocking news of the brothers creating a flying object in only four years while others have been trying and failing or dying for decades. Also, unlike the Wright brothers most other inventors had teams instead of just each other. Being that Bradshaw was only focused on one pertinent question, he focused all his time on obtaining his answer. The method used was able to showcase that decomposition or finding out where you are wiht your ggoal and finding ways to become closer.By using the decomposition method, the Wright brothers were able to perfect each important puece of the craft in order to reach their goal. Although, Bradshaw’s findings with his strategy work there were still some weaknesses. The decomposition method is not normally used in “the real world”. This method is most common with inventors and scientist, however, most would not use it for a simple task like fixing a car. This research case relates to our class by dealing with problem-solving strategies. In chapter seven, it talks about the many different ways to solve or fix a problem. But, the same way this case relates to class it also relates personally. Solving a problem is a normal occurrence, so this case showcases another way to solve a problem that might obtain more benefits instead of using the method i always
