My Goal
My goal as the director is to get the show to captivate my audience, and for the audience to take away something meaningful from the show. I want my audience so enhanced by the play that they forget that it isn 't actually occurring. Nowadays people see to be less empathetic to others, and do not care as much as they once did. I want my audience to see my play and then start to think about their decisions and the kind of choices they are making. My target audience is for mature teenagers and young adults. I feel like currently the world is full of naive people who make choices, and live in the moment, which is always a good thing to live in the moment, but at the same time I want the audience to realizes there choices have consequences. This generation doesn 't think about what they do and just do things not caring about the aftermath of their actions. The reason I choose this as my target audience is so that they can gain some knowledge early on and start to make better life chooses, and for them to realize that what they do does have an impact. This play is needed for this generation due to the fact that we have never actually been through anything that has really affected our world. The youth of today sees everything as a joke and they need to open there eyes to what can happen if they do not realize how much of a terrible person they are becoming. This isn 't always the easiest because at times it can be difficult to get people to grasp a concept when they aren 't looking for it. People think plays, televisions shows, and movies are all just for entertainment, and don 't realize that a lot of these storylines are relatable. I feel like it is easier to learn a lesson when the information is presented in a non serious
