It would relieve many high school graduates because they don't need to worry about school or anything, they will be traveling around the world or they would be visiting family in a different state. Visiting a new Country could mean finding and becoming new friends with other people or even becoming associated with those people and start a new company with them. This can open your mind up and maybe if there is an opportunity to study abroad at the place you went to during the gap year and you will be familiar with the people from that place. Some people might just want to travel because they are tired of being in schools for the past 13 to 14 years of their
