This are staggering numbers that proves my point in that we need to find alternative solutions for these children growing up to show that we as a country are ending the cycle. If we do not end the cycle of parents having unexpected children at young ages, fathers or mothers leaving, their children being wrapped up in bad behavior, having an unexpected child and repeating the cycle we as a country will grow more violent as the trends grow. In 1930 twenty nine percent of families were single parent and now it is fifty one percent. Out of those fifty one percent, seventy two percent of those children have been involved in crime, and if we do the math that is roughly forty-three million people. Often this disadvantage in their lives turns them into having a great work ethic because they often face disadvantage which they have to work back from nearly every day of their lives. Growing up in a single parent home if you come out on the right end will a better outlook and work ethic. What i have to say to that is that there is no denying that fifty one percent of families in Chicago are single parent homes and of that seventy two percent of those are involved in criminal activity. Even though most children are bad it should not put a bad image on the whole community of single parent
