Today in the world of constant fears of public shootings, drug use, and gang violence the question has been raised on whether or not schools should be allowed to search student’s persons and lockers for thing like weapons, guns, and drugs. The bottom line is that schools should have the final say so in this because they are the ones who are in charge of the safety of all of their students. The main argument against the schools searching their students is that it’s a “gross violation” of the student’s privacy. They believe that the schools should focus more on prevention and less on trying to control the students, but although it looks nice on paper, the truth is that schools can’t trust students to believe in what they’re being taught at
