The mean and "badass" biker gang are just as bad as they look. In June of 2011, brothers Matthew and Daniel McRae alongside friend Anson Schell showed barbarically attacked Dain Phillips. Phillips was struck in the head with a baseball bat and a hammer, resulting in his death as his two sons witnessed in terror. This took place in Kelowna. All three men were found guilty. A fourth accused, Robert Cocks, was acquitted by Justice Mark McEwan, writes Bolan(2014). Cocks explained during the trial that there was a prior feud between the McRae 's and the Phillips, though Dain Phillips had hoped to resolve any issue and make peace prior to the attack. Since the Hells Angels are so feared, many groups or individuals do not bother to mess with them, but everyone has conflicts and some people choose to deal with it in a more calm manor and some choose to deal with it in a violent deadly manor. It is how it is dealt with that will help it remain controlled. The criminal code was developed to keep the streets clean and society safe from dangerous criminals. The infamous Bindy Johal was the most controversial criminal in British Columbia in the 1990s. A part of the Punjabi Mafia, Johal was responsible for trafficking drugs and people, as well as performing necessary assassinations. Now this all seems "normal" for a so called gangster, and it 's sad to say that many children looked and look up to not only Johal, but many other self proclaimed gangsters who are trying to make a name for themselves. Because of people like this, self nomination of youth in gangs has gone up, according to Public Safety Canada(2004). A Canadian Police Survey on Youth Gangs(2014) was conducted and results displayed that youth related gangs are expanding, and becoming a consequential matter in many Canadian jurisdictions. After serving their sentence, the offender is most likely to go back to their previous life before being convicted. A gang is like a family, who has each others backs as long as no one stabs it.
