A mafia or gang is an undercover a group of offenders. This group was created in the mid-19th century in Sicily because, people became sick go government. Then it was scattered throughout the West, the United States of America and Australia. The most famous gang in the United States is five gangsters which are located in New York. At the beginning, gang was related to a family. Therefore, gang is an organized group of family. Each family controls a city, and the conformation of these families is like a tree. All of these families are controlled by a don, or leader. And also each city has own advise who helps his boss. Like most of the countries, the USA also suffers from gang related criminals, but the USA has a different history …show more content…
According to the US Bureau of Justice Statistics and police department in Salinas. The Salinas city violent crimes such as homicide, drug trafficking and others rates are considerably more than other cities of California. Although the violent crimes have been decreasing since 2000. Most of the gangsters are very active in the poorest parts of central and East of Salinas because of limited resources. We have a different statistics about Salinas’s gangs. According to the Monterey County report, the Monterey County had more than 1600 registered gangster in 2003. However, the police and other security department assumed that the unregistered and registered gangs would be two or four times more than that. And according to the report, which was released in 2009 (Monterey County sees gang threat growing in different) it showed that, the Monterey County has 2,500 to 3,499 gangsters. A few later, another static came to the media. It showed increasing of gangster to 5, 5000 in 2011. The Salinas gang likes other gangs is a family gang, and most of these gangster consist in two criminal families , the Nuestra familia , which is a very violent gang in the United States of America , and the Sureno family. The Nuestra familia (our family) is a crime family that was created by five inmates in the 1960 in the San Quentin prison in the Northern California. And those inmates themselves La Familia Cinco. Later it was expanded to another California prison- Soleded. The Nuestra familia involve in many murder cases in Salinas and Greenfield. According the police investigator, the Nuestra familia was involved in killing Yliza Martinez and Veronica Gallegos a few years ago, both were shot in their motel room. Gallego died that night and Martinez died a week
