Gandhi’s saying basically means that being lazy is very comfortable and fun but it gets old and makes you miserable and that is why we must always being doing something or working towards a goal to achieve true genuine happiness. Logically, no one will just come to you and hand you what you are supposed to earn on your own. A very practical example is the example of getting a good university degree and finding an acceptable job. Getting a degree is not an easy job to get done but it has to be done to go on with life and obtaining that degree is a piece of cake compared to finding a job. I was also diagnosed with appendicitis; it was very hard to keep up with school work and treatment and surgery all at the same time. After I had my appendix removed and I adjusted better to my diabetes situation it was time for me to give more attention to my school work. I set a goal of scoring an “A” in my final report. It was very hard to achieve but eventually I did and the happiness and joy I felt at that moment was unparalleled. See, if I was just handed that “A” I would not have felt anything close to what I felt when I worked for it.
