My heros, fictional and real fit this particular quote by Joseph Campbell “ a hero is someone who has given his or her life to something bigger than oneself”. This quote explains my choice of heros Maurice Hirst and Gandalf the Grey/White. Gandalf is a fictional character from the book The Lord of The Rings and The Hobbit. Gandalf is a wise elderly wizard, who acts as a mentor to Frodo and Bilbo Baggins. I chose Gandalf because he is a understanding person who is caring , firm, wise and moral. Gandalf showed these traits when he spoke to Frodo about Smeagol in Moria.
