In the words of the Great Philosopher Gandalf the Gray… “It does not do to leave a live dragon out of our calculations, if you live near him.” These words we hear are from one of the greatest and only wizards in middle earth, none other than Gandalf the Gray. But we must ask ourselves, “what does Gandalf mean by this?”. After all, Gandalf is one of the most perplexing, intricate, and mysterious characters in the LOTR trilogy. If you want to know the answer beneath you must ask these question three. What message is Gandalf trying to tell us? What are the possible meanings behind the quote. Then lastly why does Gandalf even mention the quote?
