By definition, the phrase game changer means “an event, idea, or procedure that affects a significant shift in the current manner of doing or thinking about something.” By that definition there are many people who helped changed the game of the hair stylist industry. There were tools that were invented hundreds of years ago that to this day we still use. Whether it is in our home or at a salon, we just have transformed those tools that were invented by using better technology to make them greater and more advanced. So that resulted in an unsuccessful blow dryer. Since the 1920s handheld blow dryers have definitely improved. They become very light weight and also are capable of using up to 2000 watts, so that helps the hair get bone dry very fast. This tool has become more revolutionary than anything in the world of a hairstylist. This has made every stylist’s life easier so they can get a client in and out of their chair without them having to walk out with wet, limp hair. The blow dryer creates movement and volume to the hair and you can also use it to manipulate the hair so that the hair will lay or stay in the position you want it to for the style you are trying to achieve. They have become so advanced that they have attachments such as diffusers and concentrators to help control the hot or cold air while its on so that the hair doesn’t blow everywhere and become out of control. Those tools help control frizz to make the hair nice and smooth, also it will help to create volume where it’s needed. A woman named Madam C.J.

After being hired by Annie Malone and having to go through a horrible time where she lost most of her hair, she started to perfect some hair care treatments for african americans. she started traveling and promoting herself and her products by going around the country giving demonstrations and many lectures and then established “Madame C.J. Walker Laboratories” to manufacture and produce cosmetics and provide knowledge and training for sales beauticians. She created a “Walker
System” which was a 2 step system that would help hair grow. It included a shampoo and a pomade. While applying this you had to strenuously brush the hair over and over and then comb through with an iron comb.This method was said to transform brittle,
“lifeless” hair into soft, luxurious hair. Although the Walker System is not used today, we now have hair care products and pills, vitamins, that you could take to help hair grow or to seem fuller.
