Gallup Strengths Finder This test provided valuable feedback. I really enjoy getting to know others, but I also had fun getting to know myself. I feel that this test explains much about me. Why I do what I do and how I do it. It is like playing connect the dots every dot (strength) seems to be random, but when the dots are connected it makes this beautiful picture. All my strengths, they compliment each other. This test help me realized this. First strength was Activator. I tend to like to get things started. When I see a problem or a challenge my mentally is if not now then when and if not here then where? I personally don’t see for most situations why to wait. I like to attack head on. Then it was my second strength of WOO. I am surprise this is not my first one. I feel like I did something to mess it up on the test. I feel this way because I truly love people. I like making new acquaintance and doing fairly well at doing so. I would like to believe I do win others over. Third strength was Belief. I love to stand for something I believe in. I find myself getting really passionate about a topic. In the cases where I do not stand up for I believe in, I began to feel guilty and beat myself up with it. By far, I am not a holy person but I have a strong belief system. A belief system, I would …show more content…
I like to have a productive day everyday. I get a feeling of which the Professor said was a high off my achievements. I was always the one to work hard for self-achievement. I like progression. I like to see change. Good or bad , but mostly good. I feel this way because if I am not changing then I am not growing. I tend to learn from my past mistakes and use them in the future and learn from them. I do like getting recognized for my achievements, but I believe its fourth for a reason. I do not base my worth and I do not need to look for others for self-assurance. I more on the side of self-achievement always trying to make myself

Positive Psych Extra Credit #1 - Fairness, equity, and justice – I was surprised that my top strength came out to be, I thought it would be Judgment, critical thinking, and open-mindedness. I am a fair person and treat others like how I would want to be treated, but even more than that people are people, with feelings and we are all different and complex. There’s not a right wat to act, the way in which you live is influence by your actions and the way you think, what is right and wrong. Therefore, I try to not make judgement of other people on how they dress and act. I asked my older sister if this trait best characterizes me and she said yes.…

Looking over the directions on how to complete the Clifton StrengthsFinder assessment it sounded like another psychological analysis into our minds to track the way we think (Anderson, Clifton, & Schreiner, 2006). It reminded me of a test given by major companies to a candidate for an available position to see what made you tick or find out if you would steal from them or go postal on the whole company. But to my surprise I actually learned something about myself, things that came natural to me to the point of not really paying any attention to them. According to this assessment my top strength is Strategic which does make sense to me when I started to review the results printed out on my report.…

My strongest ranking strength is empathy, which is the ability to “sense the emotions of those around you (Anderson, Clifton, & Schreiner, 2006, p. 46). I have used empathy a lot throughout my life by listening to others and by imagining myself in their situation. Over the years, I 've had coworkers confide in me problematic details about their lives. Being able to relate to what they were going through or how they were feeling, created some strong, lasting, friendships.…

Before taking the type indicator exam, I knew how I operated as an individual and student but I was unaware of the specific words that stood behind my personalty. A weakness that I have is that I do not know how to say no to individuals that ask me for help since I love to help people. It is important that I learn to say no when helping others gets in the way of me accomplishing my tasks. It is important that I do both, but not when I run the risk of not meeting my deadlines and me staying late hours after work to get my work done. It has not been an easy task saying no, but I am learning to be okay with saying no because it is important that it does not interfere with my responsibilities.…
