Scientist since the 1800s have researched and found connections between the earth’s atmosphere and the rising temperature of the earth. There are still those who do not trust the science behind global warming, and debate whether global warming is a scientific fact. However, the rise of carbon dioxide emissions cannot be debated. These emissions and a number of other things are combined in to the commonly referred term of pollution. It’s a frightening thought that the pollution of the earth has been normalized to the point that it is seen purely as unavoidable to stop. A current problem, often connected to globalization, is the growth of pollution. …show more content…
Beliefs that globalization cannot be stopped leak over to a belief that pollution cannot be stopped and so therefore nothing should be done to stop it. Viewing the issue as a globalization problem will lead to little resistance against the factors of pollution and thus turning a blind eye to the unethical practices of the largest polluters of society. As industrial pollutants contribute the largest portions of waste to all facets of the earth being air, soil, and water, it is imperative that we look to fix it (Meena). In today’s technological age the world is forever becoming smaller and smaller as connectivity to people around the world grows. In reality there is not much to stop the growing interconnectedness of people sharing ideas and values, yet at the same time there is something that can be done to lessen the transgressions of the companies that do so much damage. Asia is a hub of manufacturing while at the same time is a hub of industrial pollution. So much so that just north of China is some parts of Mongolia the weather is constituted as “smoke”. There are restrictions put in to place to limit the pollution and fix the damage but, this has done very little in solving the problem and stopping these factories from …show more content…
In China alone, a country with some of the most polluted air in the country, 70% of air pollution comes directly from industrial pollution (Muang). In a country with over a billion people industrial pollution accounts for more than twice the pollution than the citizens of China. Yet, are the ones who are constantly advertised to do their part in saving the environment and conform to “blue skies day”, a day in which people are banned from driving their cars. Why should people be forced to change their life while they are not the problem? By recycling and driving electric cars people are supposed to pitch in and do their part while corporations make billions and pollute whatever they see
