Gained U.S clinical experience managing inpatients with Dr. Tsao. My role:
• Shadowed Dr. Tsao and resident teams evaluating and managing patients admitted to BIDMC.
• Observed and participated in morning rounds with residents including case presentations, developing problem lists, diagnostic workup, treatment and follow up plan.
• Discussed presentation, pathophisology, management and prognosis of specific cases.
• Observed residents follow up on team decisions including ordering and interpreting diagnostic studies, performing common diagnostic and treatment procedures, monitoring progress and diagnostic development, counselling patients and discharge planning.
• Observed clinical education of medical students.
