1. A major problem faced by GaGa is that their products are not positioned in a location that every shopper at the grocery store will see. The video explained that their products are positioned behind freezer doors, and sometimes, their different products are separated by up to five doors. A marketing research program could help solve this problem by figuring out where the best locations are for GaGa products.
2. Because their products end up in two different sections of the grocery store, GaGa seemed unsure about their identity as a sherbet or ice cream manufacturer. Since they were unsure of their identity, they did not properly anticipate what their customers wanted from their products.

Controlled Experiments
i. GaGa could observe shoppers in a controlled environment and the different habits that they have. For example, GaGa could try to find out where shoppers are most likely to look or what type of packaging catches the customers attention.
c. Surveys
i. GaGa could conduct focus groups that discuss the flavor of their products. Furthermore, they could see which packaging best suits their company’s identity and mission. Also, they could conduct surveys where customers have a chance to win prizes if they participate.
Numi Organic Tea
1. Marketing activities such as samples by mail, gift with purchase, and product community blogs influence decisions by rewarding customers for purchasing their products. Also, it creates a community that is centered around a product, so instead of a product just being something the customer purchases at the store, they are emotionally invested in community that the product offers. The last product I purchased because of sampling was probably some food item at Costco.
2. I believe that Numi’s relationship with its food service providers are just as important as its ultimate customers. If a customer has a great experience with Numi tea at a restaurant, they will be more likely to purchase that product in the future. Food service providers are Numi’s front line in getting their product in the hands of consumers for the first
