The Urban Dictionary defines fabulous as: the ultimate compliment in the gay community. I personally could not agree more. When people hear the name, "Gabbi Melvin" the first word that comes to mind is fabulous followed by amazing and stupendous. However, some have not had the privileged of seeing me, Gabrielle Melvin, in my full glory. I pity those poor souls.…

This story is about Bob. He is a blobfish. He has a daughter named Sarah and a wife named Melissa. They are in their living room one day and that is where it all went wrong. “ Hey Sarah, time for breakfast,” said Melissa, “we have to get there before all the other fish so we get the good stuff.”…
The great day finally dawned, It was a bright summers morning in late February. The sun was just rising in the small west coast town of Glinks Gully. The waves were crashing down like thunder but it was a very calm day for the wild west coast.…
A couple of years ago, I was taking a test in school in order to make it into the GT Program. I was very nervous and I didn’t believe in myself enough. I don’t know why I was nervous considering the fact that I was studying for this test for weeks in advance. When the test started I went completely blank. The fear of not making it to my program and disappointing my parents kicked in so I decided to cheat.…
They both texted back that they did in fact think I was annoying with Rachel giving quite a bit of detail about why she thought I was annoying. At that moment I could almost feel my blood boiling, and texted back that if they thought I was so annoying then I could take my “annoying” somewhere else. I deleted their numbers and the texts from both of them, which I will admit was going a little overboard but I was angry and not thinking…
Moving as if he wasn’t quite sure if he was awake or not, as if his grasp of certain fundamental principles of the universe had just taken a pretty hefty thumping- which was pretty much the case- Garret wandered through into the stockroom. Wheatley trailed unwillingly in behind him, ducking the doorframe with millimeters to spare, Dave thumped dazedly into the cushions, staring at the fuzz of the living room’s flat-screen like a wheel-carving Stone Age genius suddenly handed the blueprints of a Jaguar XKR. most of its vital machinery exposed fished under the nearest workbench, and came up with a clean jam-jar, just like the dozens nailed to the undersides of the stockroom's many, many shelves, an entire regiment of dusty rounded glass soldiers,…
I was a member of a car club called No Limits Kustoms (NLK), and we would focus our efforts on Making Christmas better for impoverished children by using our love of cars. One of the ways we helped was by donating our time and effort by volunteering at the malls Salvation Army Angel Tree program. We would alter public space in the center of the mall by setting up tables next to a huge Christmas tree. The table would have these angel name hangers with children’s names on them. When people came up to the our tables we would ask them if they wanted to choose a child or if they wanted us to.…
The Big Game! We were talking, stretching, and listening to our warm up playlist. After about fifteen minutes goofing around, it was time to get serious. We all sat down on our dugout bench.…
Through the many interviews that I have conducted, this interview was different in many aspects because I had the honor to interview one of my friends. Described by me as hilarious, outgoing, load, and a wonderful friend I discovered that despite the fact that I knew how to describe her there were some things I did not know about her. The friend I interviewed was Gbeminiyi (Gbemi) and throughout the interviewed she surprised me with some interesting things about her. I got to open the door of the unknown.…
Part one From my mid-term evaluation by my supervisor (Wayne Harris) I have learned that I am doing a great job here at Elizabeth City Pasquotank County Economic Development Commission. My strongest asset is that I am very punctual, reliable, and able to handle complicated data searches.…
Have you ever been 12? Probably, but everyone is different when they're 12. When I was a small 12 year old, there wasn't much to me. I was misplaced, sad, scared, and stupid. And when I say stupid, I do mean stupid.…
Realistic Fiction ON-Demand “OMG this place is a mess. How are we supposed to clean this up before your parents get home?!” Sarah said to me worried. We knew that maybe doing this “fun” night, was not a great idea. It was a normal Tuesday summer night.…
The bright yellow light of the sunlight beamed right into my eyes. Half blinded I adjusted to my surroundings. I sat up and looked around, I fixed my tousled hair. Looking up at Devon and Anthony past asleep I knew I was up early. My phone had no signal and was at the point of dying.…
The car moved at a slower pace as we came closer to the camping spot. As I came out, I slammed the door shut, that made a big bang. I heard my little brother and sister screaming with excitement, her eyes wide, glancing out at the crystal blue sky, my mom ran to the lake, right in front of us with her camera. There was the beaming hot sun, tall oak trees and right in front of me was a small gross puddle of mud, making the air smell like a dumpster. I felt a shudder, gentle cold breeze, that blew against me, that made goosebumps on my arms and legs.…
