A wonderful inspiration and role model for today’s youth would be Gabrielle Douglas. Gabby Douglas at a young age was extremely talented with gymnastics, along with being enormously determined. While venturing into the world of gymnastics she trained constantly, no matter the obstacle. Gabby recovered from a variety of injuries and overcame financial obstacles in order to pursue her love for the game. After all of Gabby’s hardships and tough work, she finally achieved one of her life long goals of becoming a member of the U.S. woman’s gymnastic team in 2012. In the 2012 Olympics Gabby went on to win gold medals in both the individual all-around and team competitions.
