So, you are going into high school? Oh, the memories and friends you will make. It is not going to be easy, and not every part of it will be fun, but it is a huge part of your life, so make the most of it. Join clubs, play sports, and make the most of this sometimes dreadful few years. You will be miserable at times, it is just part of the experience. You will also have some of the most fun of your life here. It is balanced, though it may sway at times.

Always keep your grades in check. You will not believe how fast they will drop, much like hot potatoes. Your grade point average(GPA) is a huge deal. I gave up during my sophomore year and my GPA suffered for it. It went from a 3.5 to a 2.3 in one year, and it was nearly impossible to bring it up. Do not do that to yourself, it is a huge mistake. If you are like me, you will not completely understand what a GPA is. A GPA is an average of every single grade that is on your high school report cards. One bad grade and it will plummet. Be aware of that whenever you feel like giving up because it is one of the main things that colleges look for when accepting students.
