GOMOR Observation Essay

Through observation of SSG Gardner’s superior leadership and mentorship qualities in such a diverse environment, it is clear that she has learned and grown from her mistake. Thus indicating that the GOMOR has served its rehabilitative purpose.

I strongly support the transfer of SSG Gardner’s GOMOR to her restricted file. SSG Gardner has dedicated her life to the Army is an integral part of it. She embodies the Army Values and Warrior Ethos. She is constantly setting the example, leading and caring for Soldiers in a manner that excessed her pay

On 2/17/17 at approximately 2230 RA 224 Brittany Essen requested the assistant of DPS for a funny odder coming out of room 405. Upon arrival myself Officer Chad Stephenson (141) along with Cadet Josh Stankiewicz (156) and Cadet Michael Birt (120) we also noticed the odder coming from room 405. After confirming there was a smell RA Essen called CLA Lucia Rothaas (375) to assist with the room search, I then called Director Cindy Birdwell (309) to inform her that the RA’s were doing a room search and we we’re there to assist them, Director Birdwell said ok but if we find anything to freeze the scene and call her back to decide what are next move would be. After approximately 10 min I found what looked to be Marijuana in a desk drawer, I then…

The 19th century American potter George Ohr (1857-1918) is an important ceramic artist associated with the American Arts and Crafts movement. With an emphasis on emotion, gesture and pure form, Ohr’s idiosyncratic clay vessels forecast Abstract Expressionist sculpture. His passionate personal, individual vision and rebellious, theatrical persona distinguish him as one of America’s most original and eccentric artists. "In order for individuals to change and succeed in life, personal challenges and obstacles need to be accepted and embraced". In most cases, failure can prevail to be more beneficial than success. Failure provides an individual with a drive to succeed and keep trying. Through the core text of Maestro, J.K. Rowling's speech "The Fringe Benefits of Failure, and the Importance of Imagination" and the film, “The Last Cab to Darwin', the audience learns that with experience comes personal development and consequently a changed perspective. I decided to do a little research on Burgess Elementary. It was named after superintendent, Joseph Burgess, in 1963, because he was a hardworking man, and was rewarded for it. Why I chose Burgess elementary was because it was a piece of my childhood and during pre-school, which was a time rare time of me being stress free, not worrying about adult responsibilities, just to learn, and have fun. I was able to see the contrast to how I perceived the building to what the name of the place stood for, by how impactful it was towards me and how Joseph Burgess impacted the building.…

    Gobstoppers Observation

I absolutely loved observing the gobstoppers in water and how the colors created defined sections and eventually mixed in with the other colored gobstoppers. In this activity, the greatest breakthrough I had was our class discussion about accommodating the lesson for students who may have learning/behavior disabilities, vision or hearing impairments, or other forms of disabilities. A kindergarten physical science standard covers the topic of objects being sorted and described by their properties, such as color. Going into a kindergarten classroom this semester, I think the students would love observing and predicting what is going to happen with the colors and the gobstoppers themselves and would enjoy explaining what they see happening to…

guidelines that were incomplete or purposefully vague contribute to the idea the public service was corrupt to its bones through this program. While most information was kept to the ground, evidence exists (see Gomery Report or Auditor Generals report) that this program was a failure to the Canadian people. There was still complete disregard for the notion of accountability, transparency, ministerial responsibility and responsible government: the very foundations of Canadian law and government. More specifically, the Gomery Commission was able to show through extensive interviewing that senior officials, ministers and public servants were all unable to acknowledge their reasonability in the mismanagement that occurred. This becomes problematic…

After listening to the broadcast I agree with points given/stated by Alice Goffman. The fact that black males are given less chances as any other male to pursue an education or to work is alarming. Incarcerated at a young age unable to find jobs with only one way out to obtain money, selling drugs. As for the story which Goffman mentioned, only 11 years old when first arrested and as a result was given probation for three years. There are no fairness in the system, black male fear going to hospitals due to how police officers are searching in order to make arrests.…

Middle Grades are probably the most difficult grades to get through for everyone. During this time of physical, social, emotional, intellectual, and moral development for these students learning about the history of Georgia is literally the last thing they think about, if they even really think about it at all. These students are some of the most difficult students to keep their attention focused on the subject matter at hand, unless of course we are discussing them, then and only then will the teacher get their full attention. During the observation assignment I noticed a few of the developmental theories that correlated with the five developmental stages of middle school students: Bronfenbrenner, Erikson, and Hall.…

Honore de Balzac’s ending to Peré Goriot is astonishingly effective as it confirms that moving up the social ladder takes priority over all other aspects of life. The author’s effectiveness with this theme is furthered through the use of motifs and descriptive language with the purpose of aiding the readers development as to what the conflict is, why it is inescapable, and how it affects the character’s lives. The first chapter establishes a motif in the form of a metaphor that is the root of the conflict throughout the reading, as Balzac describes a character who “seemed to have been one of those donkeys who help grind our great social mill, one of the underlings who never see their masters, some cogwheel on which public misfortune or disgrace depends” (Balzac 15) outlining the vast distinction of the lower class from the upper class, but yet how “we couldn’t manage without them.” (15).…
