Case study 2
GITAM university case study
1. Scope The Scope of the project is to design an IP Network that is single converged and it is designed for the purpose of running internal applications on campus and then to enable Wi-Fi access to the Students. A Datacentre is to be established with the facility of application hosting to support distance education.
2. Challenges
The important 3 challenges of the Indian University are as follows
The most significant challenge is Building a standard level and scalable infrastructure for the education and to provide best standard of education to students who are pursuing in the University.
Second Business challenge is the optimization of Budget has to …show more content…
can be carried out by the use of the single converged IP Network (Hardware, 2017).
The staffs involved in the proposed network is encouraged to work by the use of state of art technology in Vishakhapatnam.
The implementation of GITAM is the first merit to make a Digital University in India.
After the implementation, GITAM can be extended to provide services like Hosting/DR and SaaS to all other universities and colleges located in India.
The Availability of the system gets improved as the voice, video and data are accessible to all anytime and anywhere.
The establishment of the network helps in running the university both in Inter office communication and Intra office communication.
The implementation of this proposed network also provides the technical knowledge to the students who pursue their studies in the University [3].
6. Limitations of the Proposed Design
The single converged IP network has the following limitations
If the network has any fault, then the data and feel of telephony gets affected
The single converged IP network is not capable for the process of retraining in case if there is a high traffic in the Network (Ward,
