When I look back on my history, I realize that I have been influenced by a great deal of enjoyments that triggered me to be a creative practitioner since I was a child. However, when I took a painting and two-dimensional drawing class at the community college for the first time, I realized that I felt more pleasure and fun to create objects by hand than using the computer because I can directly feel the materiality of objects. Also, I felt that a handmade actual object can strongly express a reality, existence, and warmth. As I more focused on and more observed to the materiality of objects, I gradually gained ideas to create my pieces with different and intriguing materials, and I wanted to express myself and my interests by them. I sometimes feel that I vaguely create something. I believe that I am passionate to create something interesting. However, I asked myself, what is “something interesting?” As I am dealing with these different classes at the same time, I realized that one of the most important elements for me now is building up my senses and thoughts which are inspired by intriguing people around me. In the other words, communication is significantly important to acquire ideas as an artist and designer. I already understood this in my head, but I was struggling to participate in it. Therefore, I would like to positively meet and obtain deeper understanding of other artists and artworks by belonging to artist collectives.
