Malleable Themes In The Back To The Future Trilogy

Movies such as the Back to the Future trilogy contain many life twisting themes within the story. Throughout the three films BTTF I, BTTF II, and BTTF III; there are dozens of possible themes that could be drawn from the story-line. All three films inter connect with one another and have some of their own themes and themes that were created amongst all three films. Back to the Future themes tend to be generally about average life things and what people wish they could do. Themes that are most relevant to the average persons life that were found in this trilogy would be courage vs. fear, future is malleable, and small things now change make big changes later. In the second film the changes to the past in the first film could then start to be seen such as when Marty taught his father to stand up for himself and in the present his father became a successful man and Biff was his servant. (BTTF II) This showed that if someone changes their actions in the present then they can change their future. The life changing decision made by his father in the past changed the future entirely, greatly improved the life of him and his family. Down the road I the film, Biff goes back to the past and gives himself a sports almanac that has the records of all sports game in the future; this alters the future and makes Biff a big rich megalomaniac. (BTTF II) This was one of the films biggest examples of malleable future ever and created ad entirely alternate future to the last. This shows just how possible it is to change the future of an individual. Lastly in the film coming in at the second biggest example is when Marty goes into the past and destroys Biff 's almanac and completely changes the future again back to the original 1985. (BTTF II) It showed that the future could be changed so dramaticly by just one book in the right mans hands. The future is completely malleable by this example. Many people don’t believe that their future is theirs and unwritten but examples of theme in these movies show people otherwise.
