One might consider graduating high school an ending to a part of their life, but I would consider it the beginning. This will be the first time most high school graduates will be able to make their own life changing decisions. There are things that I know I want to accomplish to achieve my future career goals; most likely not doing all these things right after high school but sometime in my lifetime. There are four year culinary schools such as Cornell University, Johnson and Wales and Le Cordon Bleu. Price ranges of culinary schools can range from $20,000 to $100,000. At some of these schools are programs at some so you can study abroad. For instance Le Cordon Bleu have campus’ in Malaysia, Paris, London, Mexico and more. The price of going to Le Cordon Bleu in Paris is 45,000 euros which is equivalent to 49,693.50 U.S. dollars. Pros about going international for culinary school would definitely be the experiences one will acquire as well as more knowledge of that country’s food and traditions. I have also been going back and forth on a few different majors, including food science and elementary education. Food science was brought up to me by a teacher at the beginning of the school year and it involves two things I enjoy, food and science. The only university that offers this program at the University of Idaho in Moscow. The other major I’ve been considering is elementary education. I like this one more than food science because I get to work with kids. I have done a lot of community work with my parish and little kids. This didn’t occur to me until recently when I was thinking about one of my elementary teachers, and we still keep in touch to this day.
