For Fusion Centers to meet their mission requirements, individual agencies must establish some form of knowledge management process. Knowledge management is designed to allow for “greater information sharing and collaboration among federal, state, and local intelligence and law enforcement entities” (El Paso Intelligence Center 2017). With each agency having their areas of responsibilities and expertise, proper knowledge management and sharing of information are what allows for operational learning to occur while also improving organizational readiness.
