Fur Persuasive Speech

Decent Essays
Killing animals for their fur to make ourselves warm is wrong.
A. There are many alternatives ways to keep us warm.
B. Approximately 40 animals are killed for each fur coat.
1. Each of those animals has died a violent death.
a. Such as anal electrocution, gassing, neck breaking, drowning or a shot in the head.
C. Trapping is widely recognized as cruel.
1. The most popular of traps used to catch fur-bearing animals.
a. Trappers in the U.S. kill several million fur bearing animal each year (4 million in 1998, 2.5 million in 1999) with 1.5 million more trapped in Canada.
b. 88.5 % where ‘non target’ species including family pets. Endangered and threatened species that may be accidentally trapped and killed.

Ammonia happen when it is high concentrations in air , it can cause lung damage or blindness due to immediate burning of the eyes.
D. Escaped mink on residential neighbor, provide constant threat of transmission of viral and bacterial diseases, fungal infections, parasites to wildlife and in some cases to humans (zoonosis). A. Don’t buy fur
1. When consumers refuse to purchase fur, designers will stop using it, retailers will stop selling it and fashion writers will stop reporting on it as an acceptable trend.
2. Today, fur items valued at over $150 must be labeled as real and identify the species of origin, fur trim on a collar or purse valued at less than $150, however, requires no label.
B. Speak up and educate
1. Share information about the problems with animal fur on social media. Conclusion I. The animal fur in the fashion industry should be stripped.
II. It causes the death of millions of animals around the world.
III. Killing them can lead to the endangerment and even extinction of animals such as chinchillas, foxes and mink. It also leads to imbalance in the ecosystem due to death of this millions of animals and threat to environment that cause air, land and water
