The planning of a funeral came be very depressing and chaotic when it comes to dealing with family members especially after your loved one has passed. It will take some time for you to gather your thought process and decide where to start. It may help to have someone you know that is very strong that is not related to you or part of the family. The first step you will need to take is to find out whether the decease has a living will to consider any special instructions or arrangements they may have noted. Some people have already pre-planned funeral arrangements so you will have to see if that has been notated in the will. Most wills can be found at the local courthouse where the deceased resides. Also, don’t forget any other special organizations or clubs that the deceased may have affiliated with as well. You may forget to contact a few people, but that’s alright. The third thing you will need to do is shop around for funeral homes. The family may want to choose two to three different ones. Once the decision on the funeral home is made; set up your meeting with them. The family would then choose a location to have the service; but in the process decide what type of service you want to do; military, traditional, church, non-traditional, graveside, or cremation. If the family would like to go with the church, you will need a clergy to go along with that. A date, time and choice of service would then be chosen. While at the funeral home, you may also shop for caskets or urns. You may choose the color according to the deceased favorite color and the design of choice. It’s optional to have a mausoleum crypt or a burial container. The burial container is what they use to place the casket on when they are during a burial and the mausoleum crypt is the area where they hold the bodies that goes into a stoned wall.
