During medical school students must complete (2) years of classroom instruction in science followed by (2) years of clinical rotation. Following medical school those who choose to become a family practitioner must complete a (3) year family practitioner residency practice . After that they have to complete a successful completion of residents in clinical and or small practice facility . There average salary is $183,940.00 annually depending on where they become employed. I would like to become a family practitioner because it gives me the opportunity to help others. Being a family oriented person I have good communication skills , attentive to detail and love doing things hand on . For becoming a Dental Hygienist you have to complete 2 years of post secondary education in an accredited community or dental college or university . You also have to be approved by a state or regional board of dental hygiene examiners. Their salary that a Dental Hygienist is $70,210 . The job outlook is 33% . The amount you get paid hourly is $33.75. There are many tools and expectations you have to learn before working on a patient 's mouth . Such as the basic you will have to learn about the removing plaque , taking and developing dental radiographs , keep track of a patient 's records and treatment plans. Also you will have to teach the patients how to brush their teeth and the correct ways to floss . Some of the tools are a ultrasonic tools which is used to clean teeth with hand power , also the most important is to know how to work the X-ray machine that takes pictures to check for tooth or jaw problems .
