The duties of Region Officers should be expanded so that they would visit other chapters in their region and help local chapter officers. Currently it is the State Officer’s role to visit other chapter, however due to many factors like distance, time, and schedules visiting some chapters becomes difficult. Each Region on the other hand has many Region Officers who can more easily visit their local chapters, and while they may or may not be as helpful as a State Officer it is still important for moral, appearance, and inter-FBLA connection that there is some Region Officer visitations. The one of the main duties of a Region Officer is to help run Regions; however this leaves a large amount of untapped potential and an unused workforce.…

A suitable intervention for children with mental health complications includes a variety of approaches to guide the individuals, including their families and communities, to the best health outcome. The complexity of determining an actual diagnosis from a false positive may be difficult, but necessary if the intervention seeks accreditation. Although MHFA provides positive intentions, there is room for incremental improvements to ensure the intervention is working at optimal capacity. There have been and currently are research efforts that evaluate the efficacy of MHFA on numerous features including effectiveness of MHFA training, perceived impact on knowledge and attitudes about mental health, influences of stigma on first aid actions taken by young people for mental health problems, impact…

During every public speaking opportunity related to risk management in which I engage, whether to NCOs, command staff, or representatives from the Office of the Attorney General, I routinely ask the rhetorical question: “Are we still bound by the consent decree?” Most division members, especially command staff, ostensibly know the answer is yes, but don’t understand why or to what degree. The answer lies within the Law Enforcement Professional Standards Act of 2009 (P.L. 2009 Chapter 121) (The Act). The Act maintains the reforms achieved under the consent decree which were codified through rules, regulations, and standing operating procedures.…

Approximately 60% of U.S. children aged five and younger have spent time in a child care setting (Wohlgenant, et al). Also children of that same age are at greater risk for food-borne illness because of their developing immune systems (Koehler, 129). The majority of infections in Daycare centers are respiratory infections, which are mainly caused by viruses such as rhinovirus, bocavirus, adenovirus, and respiratory syncytial virus. These viruses are all part of the common cold (Fairchok et al., 2010; Martin, Fairchok, Stednick, Kuypers, & Englund, 2013; Pitkaranta et al., 2006). Every child can bring home their own viruses and bacteria to spread and share with the family.…

I ensure staff have the knowledge, skills and abilities to be successful in their scope of practice, but I negate to have them under performing which causes our performance measure to go down. As per the related charge, disciplinary actions are. For instance, an employee who receives notification to schedule a cancer patient as soon as possible to see the provider, but neglects to schedule the patient until days later will receive based upon the action, an action of, delay in patient care or waste in providing timely access to care.…

One of the class discussions that stood out me was and I found I could relate too was Information Technology for HR Planning. I found this chapter to be very informative because the workforce along with career roles are constantly changing. In the human resource field and many others technology is becoming the leading force of change. Technology now may imply a complete take over of a certain job and this could mean your position will no longer exist. Being accurately informed about the role technology plays in your field will be a great benefit to your organizations as well as your job.…
