Functional mobility/transfers: Lou explained that she has very minimal issues with mobility if any at all. She has no issues getting up and down her stairs. She has overworked her wrist which has led to arthritis. She wears a brace to help support her wrist and she received a cortisone shot about two weeks ago. She does not wear the brace all the time. The brace is only worn while she works, just as a precaution.

Dressing, personal device care:

She is able to dress herself every day with no issues. She loves clothes. The entire second floor of her house is dedicated to all of her clothes. She expressed how she loves clothes. She likes to makes lists of everything she has to do. This help her remember to go everything. She explained that when traumatic events happen that the events around that time are not clear, she does not have a vivid memory. She said that this happened when her and her husband were in the car accident. She also said when there is a death, her memory becomes blurry.

Sensory functions and pain

She has a very high pain tolerance (she did not go into details). She explained that you just have to be tough these days. She said she has a house to maintain and keep up with so even if she were in some type of pain she pushes through.

Neuromusculoskeletal and movement related functions

She was in a car accident in 2003. She suffered many injuries (she did not go into details on all the specific injuries). She does not suffer today from any of her previous injuries. She said that the doctors said she in 100% healed. She said she does find that because of the surgery on her eyes, that she sometimes feels like she may lose her balance, but she said she has never fallen. She said she also finds that her depth perception is sometimes off. She said because of her depth perception being altered that it is hard for her the thread the needle when
