Shantaya’s threatening bodily harm appears to be exhibited when she becomes frustrated towards her peers. Her anger and aggression out ways her ability to make appropriate decisions. When she becomes upset, she often starts to rock, cover her face, blank stare, and ignore any communication from anyone. Shantaya is non-compliant and usually the behavior specialist, crisis intervention specialist, officers and sometimes the Assistance Principal is needed to de-escalate her. She definitely needs counseling to learn appropriate strategies for handling conflicts and disagreements with her peers.
