He also doesn't value the amount of stress put on a student as he expects all degree programs to be done on time wit no thought on how it affects the student. I value getting a degree I also want to do it without putting an unnecessary amount of stress on myself…
I am learning to balance family life, assignment deadlines and have also recently applied to voluntary work within south tees hospital to gain further experiences and skills. I have also booked onto various Discovery days, open evenings and public meetings to get a real taste of student life which I am very excited about. In my spare time I take an interest to keeping fit and healthy improving my mental and physical self, fashion is my hobby and socialising with friends. I try to organise my time wisely around being a mother which is my proudest achievement of all. I have learnt valuable lessons and knowledge from this which I’d use every day in my dental career, being able to work confidently with children as well as adults.…
Since I started attending OSU, I have been using my active duty husband’s GI/Post 9-11 benefits in order to pay for my tuitions. In addition, I have also been filing Financial aid to pay for daily costs, such as gas, food, and school supplies that the military benefit could not cover. My husband and I have planned the number of semester according to the amount and time the military benefit would cover my schooling costs. I want to say that we did a great job, but this opportunity to fellowship in D.C. through WAIP has push our plan to an additional semester to which we did not account for. I have used up all military available benefits and I could have just graduated in Spring ’17 with my class, however, the opportunity to be part of WAIP…
I am writing to you today to ask you to please allow me to meet Satisfactory Academic Progress standards. The reason why I am not currently meeting these standards is because I have exceeded the University’s allowed 60-semester hour limit for a single Masters degree. Now I cannot receive financial aid, which is crucial for me, as I do not have any other source to continue my studies. First of all, had I been aware of this limit, I would have begun this process about a year ago to avoid having to go through this ordeal. The reason why I am over the allowed 60 semester hours is because I am currently pursuing two separate Masters degree programs at Indiana University at the same time.…
On August 24, 2008, I began my first year of college at Tidewater Community College (TCC) pursuing a science associate degree and changed my major to applied associate of science with a concentration in Administrative of Justice. For the six semesters, I continually maintained a 3.0 or better GPA along with being apart of the Dean’s List twice. However, my last semester I had failed to uphold my academic commitment due to working full-time to support my myself financially through school. I was not able to effectively manage my time. Therefore, my overall GPA become out to be a 2.9 upon graduation.…
I most likely can not call off both my work and my school at the same time, because I can not afford the lost. I I have to maintain my grades at a certain level for another 2 semester in order to get financial help from the school system, so I would not give any chances to ruin my effort that was built since the beginning of the semester. Due to my financial problem,…
These pass three weeks have been putting more hours than what I usually work. I had worked overtime and haven’t really had time to do and focus on my schoolwork. It is really hard working fulltime and being a fulltime student. Many things still have to get done but so little time. However many people go though this because they have responsibility and bills to pay.…
“Deeper Into my Life” Individuals are unique in their own ways and one of mine happens to be my name, Darrnyejah Bolds. Everywhere I go people have a hard time pronouncing it. Many people have given up and just refer to me as “Ms. Bolds,” but also I have two nicknames “Nye”, and “Nyejah,” which is mostly used by family and friends. Over the years, I have adjusted to my nicknames and became very comfortable with them. I entered this world on February 27, 1997 with the zodiac sign of Pisces.…
I personally feel I was not effective in correctly managing my time, because for every assignment I was rushing on finishing last minute. I was the typical graduate student that stayed late working on homework; unfortunately, that was something that I had told myself I was not going to do but I did it. Therefore next semester I will be taking on different measures to ensure that I can manage my time adequately, and not having to be the stereotypical graduate student depriving of sleep. The measure I will be taking for next semester is to start assignment early and get them review by peers or the writing center at school…
In my city the people who live here incline to stay here and settle for what is here, which isn't much to tell the truth. My mother was endeavoring to transmute that for us, yet again life caught us by surprise. Over the summer my mother apprised us that we would be peregrinating to Maryland upon her graduation in spring, and would mean our move would take place during my senior year.…
I know that I will be held accountable for my attendance here at school and on the job. If I am not present then I can not learn the material and if I’m not at present at work then the job will go undone. I appreciate being a student and having this opportunity to learn and study the material to become a Certified Medical…
Financial difficulties and college tuition have become harmonized in recent time. Rising cost of education in the United States is restricting access to higher education for students all over the country. It has become the norm to financially struggle in college. I am not an exception to that. For the first four years, I have had my tuition paid by the Opportunity Scholarship.…
I have been working in the law enforcement field for approximately two years now. I am currently employed with the Cameron Country Sheriff’s Office as a patrol deputy. I began my law enforcement career by joining the Criminal Justice Institute Police Academy program at Texas Southmost College in 2012. I graduated March 2013 and began to work for American Investigation Security Company for one year, prior to my employment with the Cameron County Sheriff’s Office. Working as a full time patrol deputy has made me realize the importance of a higher education more than ever.…
Since childhood, I have always dreamed of becoming a nurse. Not only is it my career aspiration, but it is my passion to help people and be a bright component to their dark times. It was my dream to enter college with the end goal of obtaining a Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing to become a nurse. I have completed this first step by beginning my college career at UNC Charlotte. Upon entering UNC Charlotte as a freshman in the pre-nursing program, it has been both intimidating and difficult; however, I have learned a lot about myself and how to be successful in both college and my career.…
I was born in Germany with a German mother and an American father. The benefit of being born into a German family and living in Europe for the first ten years of my life was the greatest privilege I experienced throughout my sixteen years of living. However, my father was in the military at the time causing for a slight pressure to always be prevalent for the duration of my younger years. This mainly revolved around the fact that my sister was able to grow up in Germany and I wanted that same opportunity. Soon after these aspirations were formed, they became mere dreams that never would be fulfilled because my dad was given orders to either move to Mississippi or Oklahoma, which both deemed to be the middle-of-nowhere.…
