This is a follow up from yesterday’s meeting with the latest information on the status of the project.
Firstly, I would like to bring to your attention that we have not had backend resources assigned to the project this week, outside of the agreed stabilization support initiative.
It was not mentioned in yesterday’s meeting that Brian was pulled on Monday to work on ACH issues, and I was not aware at the time of our meeting since it occurred before I had time to catch up with the team. For the remainder of the week, as discussed, he is assigned to the stabilization task force.
How will this affect Client Services? Here’s the impact:
1. This week’s scheduled deployment will be postponed until backend resources are restored to the team. The reason being in the event of failure or blockers, we do not have the full skill set to be able to rapidly diagnose and fix issues immediately.
2. …show more content…
Full-scale Prod deployment blocked. We will not be able to implement the Tool on the bulk of the AEG production contexts, due to the delay of this week’s release. Primarily as this release contains work done for timezones, which is a fundamental requirement for the widespread adoption of the application by Client Services.
I must reiterate and emphasize that the success metrics and business goal of this slice, is to have a fully functional tool handed to Client Services by the 23rd of October, ahead of the Black Friday onsale spike. Therefore, this is a full disclosure of the impediments that this project is facing, and the effects it has on the business.
Please, I am still waiting for the temporary assignment of a project manager for the team.
