1.” Eating the Alphabet : Fruits and Vegetables from A to Z by Lois Ehlert. . This is a good way to teach kids all about the different health fruits and veggies that are out there, and it also teaches helps teach the A B C’s. It would also be great to bring some of these different fruits and veggies to get them to start eating healthy.
2. “ The food parade: Healthy eating the nutritious food groups.” By Elicia Castaldi
This book teaches children about the basic food groups. They get to meet each food groups as they march into town during their parade. This book does a good job to teach kids about the importance of eating a well balance diet.
3.” Gregory, the terrible eater” by Mitchell Sharmat. Gregory is not your typical goat, instead of eating junk, like his parents’ want. Rather than tires, cans, and t-shirts, Gregory eats his fruits and veggies. This is a great way to have the kids choose what is healthy and what is not, although I hope the kids do not make a habit of eating cans.

“ Be good to your body- Healthy eating and fun recipes” by Roz Fulcher. This book would be one to send home with the kids and their parents. This teaches the importance of eating healthy and even gives some good, kid friendly, and healthy recipes. Kids and parents would have a great time making these meals together.
