That a person eats more than what is required. The relationship also of not doing some sort of exercise to help burn calories and develop muscles can lead to being obese. I believe in learning about nutrition and knowing what a body needs, the proper amounts, and how to maintain the body to function properly. I believe this should be taught to every kid growing up to have the right knowledge of what is needed to properly keep your body functioning the right way. You control what goes in your body. Eating a lot of one type of food will upset the body’s functions but equaling out the right options helps fuel and maintain your body. People generally tend to confuse the name corn syrup, fructose, and HFCS as the same thing when really they are all different. Corn syrup is really just glucose molecules that are either free or bonded in chains. Fructose is the free monosaccharide that does not contain any glucose at all. People confuse this with HFCS because the name implies that it is high in fructose content when really it isn't. As stated earlier, the sucrose ration is 50-50 fructose to glucose and the highest HFCS ratio is found HFCS-55 which is a 55-45 fructose to glucose ratio.…

Results: Distinguishing the Interactions in the Fructose 1,6-Bisphosphate Binding Site of Human Liver Pyruvate Kinase that Contribute to Allostery The overall design of the experiment involved two ways in which protein activation could be altered, in this case, the activation of the human liver pyruvate kinase (hL-PYK). One of the methods used to alter activation was to use effector molecules other than fructose 1,6-bisphosphate (Fru-1,6-BP), which may have the ability to attach to the allosteric site of the hL-PYK, leading to an increase or decrease in protein activity. The second method was to enhance mutations on specific parts of the hL-PYK enzyme itself to see how it interacted with Fru-1,6-BP. Inducing mutations to areas located near the allosteric site of hL-PYK can alter the binding affinity…
