From The Hills Came Creams Analysis

One analogy the author uses is "from the hills came creams,” I interpreted that even the wildlife in the area noticed there was a difference in the valley. I also understood that to be an impressive moment. She also gave her comparison of an total eclipse "as flying in an airplane" does to "flying out of a plane" I believed that she was stating the two cannot be compared; only seeing a partial eclipse is not the same as seeing the real thing. There is evidence that suggest the women would lead one of the most fundamental forms of verbal expression: the song''3. Sunsets are a very unique way to capture the idea of similarities between two concepts. However, when relating to The Outsiders, by S.E. Hinton, it is completely normal; in fact, it makes total sense. The novel includes two gangs that were constantly after each other--and not in playful ways. They were very violent and were always willing to hurt the other side; they completely despised each other. Those two gangs were the Greasers and the Socs, and they lived on opposite sides of town: the East side and the West side.…

This shows how he sticks out from those around him. The colors also illuminate the differences between Cathy and Samuel. While Samuel is light and can get along with anyone, and is forgiving and lenient, Cathy is cold, sharp, calculating and only uses people to her benefit. Paschal Lamb Poem Analysis

Robert Hass’s poem “Paschal Lamb” explores the value of sacrifice on an individual scale. The poem examines narratives surrounding the war in Vietnam, most of which center around the speaker’s story about David. Using the Viet Nam War, the metaphor of the sacrificial lamb, and the story of a woman in Greece, Hass looks at how intellect mutes or distances a person from the meaning of sacrifice and how it leads to feelings of power and comfort. Faced with a palpable or immediate sacrifice, in this case life or death or the loss of a job, the individual 's rendered vulnerable and powerless; however, Hass finds that while sacrifice necessarily creates an uncomfortable and unjust power dynamic, knowledge and understanding can prepare an individual to feel merely affronted rather than harmed when called to make a sacrifice, if they are afforded the chance to do so.…

At first glance, Cutting the Cake seems to be a basic photograph of a happy wedding party but in closer examination a unique outlook on mothering is found. A mother holds her child as she and her husband cut their wedding cake, surrounded by their five other children. This image renders many assumptions, but suddenly introduces a host of new ideas when one realizes the mother and father are famous. The scene of a vowel renewal or marriage of a blended family could be described in similar terms as this image. Without having seen the picture, one could also insinuate the mother may be low-income and young, marrying out of necessity for her children.…

I have been reading the book Lord The Flies, by the author named William Golding. The book was given out in 1954, which leads us into the literary period of Postmodernism. The most common trait for this period is the very increasing diversity between the different novels written. In the earlier periods, the authors wanted to be fairly grounded, concrete and structured; but now they wanted more of the abstract and unrealistic plots, and often with paradoxes of various kinds. It is also said that authors of the Postmodern period after World War II very often saw the world as troubled and fragmented, like it was on the edge of disaster.…
