There are many quotes and beliefs in the world that I believe and get motivated. Some quotes are from my parents, other family members, teachers, or friends. The quote that is most important for me is “The big secret in life is that there is no big secret. Whatever your goal, you can get there if you're willing to work,” by Oprah Winfrey, because I have experienced something in life that this quote has made me a different person today. It has been inspiring me to achieve my goals and never give up. Still today I believe in this quote because this quote will always be part of my life and it will help me to look back to my life experience. One day I was born to two parents who lived in a country with wars and came all the way to America with a difficult time just for my siblings and me to have a better life and to have a better education than them. When I came to America I was only three years old. I did not understand how life was and how hard working my mom …show more content…
Then I came to high school. It was whole different level. I started to stress out and cry every night to myself. I felt like giving up on myself. I did not have any hope in myself and felt like I will achieve nothing in life. Also, I was so worried what will I do when I have to apply for college because I do not want to go to a low college. Then one day my mom and dad saw how stressed I was so they felt worried and felt like they need to talk to me. They sat with for two hours and explained how life is and how I can make it easier. After hearing what they said I got motivated and the next day I felt a new me. I was strong again and still I am. I believed that if I work hard and stay strong I will make it. I have made through two years of my high school and I am very close to finishing. Every day when I am feeling upset about a grade I read the quote and the next day I wake up fresh and

This quote inspires me to endure any hardships I experience for two reasons: it reminds me that there could be more difficult events I could face, and that my reward for enduring it will be a meaningful life experience. Because everyone experiences hardships in life, I can look at this quote and be reassured that I am not the only one with a certain problem, but I am also convinced that many people live through more severe events and therefore I can definitely withstand whatever life may give me. When I look at this quote, I recall all my past troubles and, more importantly, what I learned from those. The quote is similar in message to the “hang in there!”…

My junior year was another story, I struggled a lot at the beginning of the school year, and most of first semester was spent with me having an F sometimes more than one, and that was a failure to me because I had my heart set on going to a four college or university and I knew that if i had an F i wouldnt qualify.…

Eighth grade slowly got better when my mom left again and for about a year I was doing just fine until I learned that we had to move to a place where all was unfamiliar beginning chaos again. For six months I lived in a gated community surrounded by only two who I called family. Even though it seemed like forever eventually high school started and my mind just blew up. One color surrounded me and a different curriculum was presented to me, stuck up kids and teacher stood before me, and the meaning of diversity didn’t seem to be known by the plain people who were before me. The joys of culture were absent and I felt as a puny ant before they were stepped on by a foot.…
