Moorer stated throughout the book that it was his faith in God that helped him persevere through the difficult times and realize his true potential. He “under[went] a series of setbacks only to be set up for the promise that God (had) in store for (him)” (77). The individuals are, in turn, influenced by their friends and families, who are shaped by their communities, which are directed by larger societal factors, and so on. As such, what happens to others and to the larger, global society affects us and, in turn, our response to these events affects them. Therefore, we have the responsibility of becoming a positive influence. It is up to us whether we’ll take up the mantle and position ourselves in circles four to seven, and create the impact we are called to
