Friendship should be valued over all else

In the book, The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn there are many different ways to show the importance of friendship. There are three specific ones that will be mentioned and that will be noticed the most. these three are mood and tone, character development, and dialogue. Each one of these things are showing different aspects of the theme that states Friendship should be valued over all else, and the different ways this theme is just like today when people don’t have friends they tend to not have good communication skills .

Friendship should be valued over all else is an aspect of tone and mood. An example that proves this is, "Now, we 'll start this band of robbers and call it Tom Sawyer 's Gang. Everybody that wants to join has got to take an oath, and write his name in blood." (Shmoop Editorial Team) This quote affects the reader 's mood towards the book by making them worry about what these kids will be doing next. This also affects the author 's tone, made him seem more angry and stressed. Later on in the book Huck stated something in that shows shows a positive mood and tone. Huckleberry Finn said “Well, I warn 't long making him understand I warn 't dead. I was ever so glad to see Jim. I warn 't lonesome now. I told him I warn 't afraid of HIM telling the people where I was. I talked along, but he only set there and looked at me; never said nothing.” (Shmoop Editorial Team).
